To strengthen our programs and community connections, FIRST in Texas has created Advisory Councils for each program: FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and FIRST Robotics Competition.

These Councils bring together volunteer leaders, program staff, and representatives from across Texas to:

• Gather and share community feedback

• Improve participant and volunteer experiences

• Recommend new opportunities and initiatives

• Support leadership and the Board of Directors in shaping the future of our programs

Each Advisory Council is staffed with co-chairs, program leaders, and volunteer members who represent diverse regions, school types, and community backgrounds. Their role is to ensure that every voice in our community is heard and that feedback directly informs decisions at the highest level.

By creating Advisory Councils, we’re making a commitment to transparency, collaboration, and growth—ensuring that FIRST in Texas continues to empower students through STEM.
